Events: WORKSHOPMODESTY

Salaams / Hi beautiful people, today's blogpost is all about Workshopmodesty! What is workshopmodesty? Where did it all start and when was it launched!

Ok, so Workshopmodesty is a concept store situated at 269 Imam Haron Road ,Claremont. It's a place where any female young or old will find the perfect outfit, casual or formal, you will even be able to choose a scarf to match with it. There's different labels to choose from and even something for the kids, a clothing range for girls ages 2 to 10.

The person behind it all?
The stunning and kind hearted lady behind it all is none other than
Nasheetah Joseph-Kamish, not only is she a wife and mother of four but also a entrepreneur, she's the designer of the label Infiniti Collection SA, and now owner of the beautiful boutique Workshopmodesty.

Where did it all start?
Nasheetah hails from a long lineage of fashion and design, following in the footsteps of her mother, grandmother and late great grandmother (Allah yarhamhaa), where dressmaking, beading and clothing manufacture are just a hint of their collective abilities. Alhamdulillah.
Nasheetah returned from Cairo to South Africa in 2007 after a short educational sabbatical with a zest and passion to design and manufacture a clothing range suitable for modest wear. Inspired by the availability of modest wear in Cairo.
Nasheetah is a graduate of the Haute Couture school of Fashion Design, inspired and fueled by fabrics and textures along with her passion to create new designs that dresses women simply, yet modestly using only the very best quality fabrics. With a constant pulse on trends locally and internationally, The Infiniti Collection, reflects a design sensibility where the garments created can be worn from one season to another creating and infinite wardrobe for her clientele, hence the name of her label....
The Infiniti Collection.
The designer strives to use textures, designs and fabrics that compliments a women's physique, provides comfort, yet dresses her elegantly and smartly but not comprising on her modesty.

Monday on Covermode (show hosted by Roshan Isaacs on Voice of the Cape Radio Station) Nasheetah mentioned that she has done markets and pop-ups and realised that the consumer feels flustered when surrounded by all the different vendors and too many options, I was nodding my head when I heard that because that's exactly how I feel when I'm at markets or expos.

She decided to open the store not only for her own benefit but also to help other designers that need the exposure and a place where their garments will be easily available for the customer to shop and not wait for a pop-up store or market day.

About the launch
On arrival the store was already full when I entered, I couldnt stop looking around, everything was set beautifully, flowers to decor, boards hanging from the roof with different inspiring messages, and a very nice welcoming atmosphere.
I know most people loved the boards hanging from the roof, the favourite one that stood out the most read, 'my success lies only with Allah". And for anyone wanting or starting a business, in fact starting anything, it's only with Allah  Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala by our side that we can achieve those things in life and that's exactly how the launch kicked off on Saturday the 22nd of October with a opening dua by Moegamad Kamish (husband of Nasheetah).

Guest speakers
First we had Roshan Isaacs speak about modest fashion and what she does to encourage, empower and inspire, from her show Cover Mode, chicturban styling, being guest speaker at different events and assisting vendors to grow their brand at expos etc cetara. Words of encouragement from breast cancer survivor Nadeema Jacobs (volunteer for Reaching for recovery) she spoke about breast cancer, she gave tips, motivation and encouragement, she explained that it's not the end, it's a difficult and daunting  journey but there's ways and means to live with it.
We then had the blogger from the Curvy Journal  Fadz Behardien, speak about not being able to easily find plus size clothing, she explained in her words what plus size actually means not just normal large and extra large. Followed by Khadeeja Bray Hassan giving us some beauty and make-up tips and trends as well as which makeup colours to use for the season.

The event had nothing short of awesome, words of wisdom & encouragment, many delicious and tasty food and desserts, something warm or cold to drink,  interesting chats and meeting new people and to top it off each one was spoilt with something small, each guest received a goody bag, each guest speaker and blogger also received beautiful flowers. Then the big fun started, who doesn't love shopping!!! being surrounded by beautiful clothes, different colours & textures and stunning and unique designs to choose from.

Events like these always leave me inspired to be more and achieve more, you left thinking to yourself if they can go after their dreams you can too, and that's why I love being surrounded by inspiring females that gives me a boost in life and leave me feeling motivated.
I felt very honoured and happy to have been associated and part of the event, to be a part of such a happy moment in someone's life, sharing in her success and happiness. Wishing Nasheetah and the rest of the designers all the success and may your business grow from strength to strength In Sha Allah.
