Eid Ul Fitr 2017

Good day Beautiful people,

I know this post is super late because life has just been super hectic! I'm sharing a few pictures of Eid Ul Fitr that we celebrated on the 26th of June and as you now Eid is a very special day in any Muslims life and is celebrated with family and friends. This Eid was different to other Eids, something felt missing and has been feeling so every Eid since my mother in-law passed on, my sister in-law and kids from Namibia also didn't join us for Eid this year and my husband slept half of the day away because he was'nt feeling well at all. My daughter was just the cutest even though she didnt quite understand what was wrong with her father, she went to check up on him every few minutes, stood infront of him to make sure he's still ok and stroked his hair and kissed him then went off to play again for a while again. So beautiful to see the love between daddy and daughter, I tried my best to make the day enjoyable for her.

If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen my posts about Muneeb that recently went for an operation, hence the hectic part and it was difficult not only for him in the beginning but for me too, he could'nt move much so I had to help him alot but he came around very quickly and was better in no time, Alhamdulilah I Shukr Allah for that.
We managed to atleast get one family pic on the day, over the years it became a tradition to take family pictures on Eid.

Fringe

Hey beauties, Happy New Year!
This is my first blog post for 2016, everyone's feeling excited about the new year, new opportunities and surprises what it has to bring. I can't believe it's back to work for me today, so no more free spirit and doing as I please but it's still festive season so I'll just enjoy what's left of it. One of the definitions of Boho is free spirit, that's exactly how I feel when I'm on holiday, no work, no worries, even the loose clothing and different colours and textures gives the feel of free spirit, and not the everyday office colours of black and white.

This time of the year I love to dress boho, its so comfortable, so chic and easy because anything goes. Last year this time I did a Boho inspiration post on how to compile quick boho outfits, you can check it out here if you like.

About the outfit
This is the most cheapest easiest look ever, a Mr Price fringe top paired with a Jet palazzo pants and Whalla! You can wear it with flats, gladiators, wedges. And the best part you don't have to worry about hair,  loose wavy hair, or with a hat or tie it in a turban. Basically any accessories will do, you free to do just what you like.

Rage Wedges / Yde earings, sunglasses & fashtatoos

Saturday we had such a lovely time at the beautiful Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens ,we walked so much, relaxed and admired the beauty, Ma sha Allah. My two year old daughter had so much fun but unfortunately this little rebel don't listen so had a few bruises on her knees and forehead because of all the running and falling. This picture at the bottom is just proof of that, see how she's running on the 'boomslang' tree canopy walkway.

Picking flowers

Pictures where taken with my Sony Experia, my camera broke but I still love the way they came out.
Hope you enjoyed my post and thank you for reading my blog.

Life: Have that cuppa Joe

Life has just been really hectic right. Everyone I've been talking to, chatting to has been telling me that same  thing when I ask them how they are. I don't know if it's just that time of the year when everybody feels exhausted, overworked, overwhelmed, studies, house choirs and everything else getting the hold of you, no balance in a persons life.

I won't lie when I say I don't see my friends alot anymore, not like we used to, we used to meet often, at least once a month but now it's more like once a year. Families don't visit each other like they used to from what I can remember when I was younger. Its like the only form of communication we have with each other nowadays is social media. Why should you go visit that person if you already saw the new born on a picture or you already saw your friend's engagement ring, you can  see they are happy, their fine because you can tell from the pictures you saw earlier on Facebook or Instagram right. Well let me tell you something, that's what I thought too until we met for coffee.

No matter how you would like to pretend that your life is perfect all the time ( I'm guilty of that, simply because when it does go bad I don't put it out there for everyone to see), no matter how you just post happy pictures on social media, everyone, yes everyone goes through a time in their life when it's not going good, be it something at work, losing a loved one, health (cancer and other sickness), depression, infertility, divorce, financial problems, maybe you and a close friend no longer speaking, it can be anything.
Remember by the time you want to meet, when you think you sorted out all your things, it's already too late, my friends I thought where happily married because of that pictures I saw last month, she already got a divorce. And the couple I thought where fine financially, they busy losing their house, these things are really happening and we too blind to see it because we're all too busy making a living, building our empire like people are saying on their profiles, so we just assume everything is fine.

So even though life is so hectic and busy make time for each other, go have that cuppa Joe, tell each other your sorrows after that cup, or mayb the second cup (in my case) I feel I can conquer the world. I believe it's good to talk to a friend, the chats and good laughs can do you good. And remember what you see on social media is not always really happening, not everyone share their whole life on there, people always want others to know or to think they doing good and they fine ,myself included.

Thank for visiting/reading/stalking my blog, do visit again. And always remember to keep Shining!

Mother's Day

So the day is here, the day where some will see their children for the first time this year, where some will get spoilt and pampered and some won't even get a call or a flower. Yep that's the reality of what's happening, I ask myself the question, how do you do that to your own mom,the one that brought you in this world? They say Jannah(Heaven) lies at the feet of your mother.

For all the years when we where struggling to fall pregnant I always wanted to be a Mom and celebrate Mother's day, just to be part of it, I remember in May 2011 just before Mother's day when I lost my first baby bean (had an Etopic Pregnancy  and lost my one Fillopian Tube) I thought I'd never have children and never celebrate mothers day and here I am on my second mommy's day with my baby almost two and thinking of planning baby number two. hehe all too good to be true,I'm so grateful, algamdulilaah ♡ she is my angel.
So for all the gorgeous women out there struggling to fall pregnant, keep the faith, keep the hope and never stop praying and believing, miracles do happen.

I never understood the reason why Mommies always had tears in their eyes for any phony reason like watching something on tv,reading something or just watching their kids do things ,  becoming a mom, I now understand why, ,,the joy,the pride the love they hold in their heart for that little one that makes them so soft.
Our children are our Angels send from Allah _ God .When pregnant we carry them near our hearts for months ...they hear our heartbeat.

Our mom's did a great job raising us, teaching us right from wrong, teaching us religion, school work, house work, some stayed home some had to work to make a living like mine, even though my mom were always working, I understood, I knew why she had to work, for me, but I never forgot what she thought me.And I'll always be grateful for that, Love you mom. This Unconditional love I now experience makes me realise how much I mean to my own mom.
To those of us that still have our mom's with us,we sometimes don't realise how lucky we are, myself included, this will be the first Mother's day my husband will be without his mom, a lot will feel lonely, lost and sad while others will be celebrating and enjoying the day with their mothers.

Being Mom is a tough, tiring, exhausting, never ending, non paying job , but I wouldn't trade it for anything, my daughter makes me so tired at times but brings me soo much more joy and happiness :)

To all the mommies out there ...
You all doing a pretty good job
Even though at times it feels like we failing
Like we cant go on,
we want to dissappear,
we want to give up, we can't move forward,
we tired all the time,
we do so much and neglect ourselves
yet get so little appreciation at times
Just remember, We, Us,You,
-> We doing an Awesome job,
♡Happy Mother's Day♡

In my first week as a mom, experience  unconditional love

Myself with my Mommy and my daughter

My first Mother's Day 🌸 2014

This beautiful poem I got from a other mommy blog, its so beautiful and so true just had to share, beware the tears......

From the moment you hold your baby in your arms,
you will never be the same.
You might long for the person you were before,
When you had freedom and time,
And nothing in particular to worry about.

You will know tiredness like you never knew it before,
And days will run into days that are exactly the same,
Full of feedings and burping,
Nappy changes and crying,
Whining and fighting,
Naps or a lack of naps,
It might seem like a never-ending cycle.

But don’t forget …
There is a last time for everything.
There will come a time when you will feed
your baby for the very last time.
They will fall asleep on you after a long day
And it will be the last time you ever hold your sleeping child.

One day you will carry them on your hip then set them down,
And never pick them up that way again.
You will scrub their hair in the bath one night
And from that day on they will want to bathe alone.
They will hold your hand to cross the road,
Then never reach for it again.
They will creep into your room at midnight for cuddles,
And it will be the last night you ever wake to this.

One afternoon you will sing “the wheels on the bus”
and do all the actions,
Then never sing them that song again.
They will kiss you goodbye at the school gate,
The next day they will ask to walk to the gate alone.
You will read a final bedtime story and wipe your last dirty face.
They will run to you with arms raised for the very last time.

The thing is, you won’t even know it’s the last time
Until there are no more times.
And even then, it will take you a while to realize.

So while you are living in these times,
remember there are only so many of them
and when they are gone, you will yearn for just one more day of them.
For one last time.

To the person who wrote this poem, Thank You.

Wow this just made me so emotional and brought sad tears to my eyes, to think it will all come to an end but we don't realise it as they grow. This again just a reminder what motherhood is about and how important it is to treasure every moment of it, the good and bad.

Again Happy Mother's Day ♡ Enjoy your day.

Family Time :Franschhoek

A beautiful Saturday on Valentines day, yep I know I'm so late with this post, I was gonna leave it until a friend asked where our pictures where taken when she saw it ,so I thought let me share, because I'm sure a lot of us staying just an hour away haven't visited this hidden beauty. I myself haven't seen much of Franschhoek and planning many more visits.

So on this day my husband worked and I thought I'll just spend my Saturday at home chilling doing whatever ,until he surprised me and got home earlier then usual. He asked me so nicely to get done, he wanted to surprise me but being the draggy person I am (yes I take long to get done) I was still slow and I was getting looks from him already. So on our way I begged him to tell me where we going and he didn't,  so I decided to just sit back, relax and enjoyed the ride.

So we finally arrived in the small town of Franschhoek, a beautiful day, lovely atmosphere and love was definitely in the air,  the restaurants where all decorated, balloons, roses, you name it. The town is so beautiful and the people so friendly, I wouldn't mind staying here, away from the busy Cape Town,  I thought to myself. We walked around at the stalls, in the streets, sat on the grass, took pictures ,admired the monument and had an exquisite time at a small cosy restaurant. I had such a lovely time even though I must admit half a day is not enough you'll need more time to explore but definitely a day to remember. ♡
