Lookpost: Neutrals

Hey beauties, Happy Monday!

Hope you had a good weekend, it's just always so short hey? It feels like forever since I last blogged but its just been a month, this lookpost I wanted to do so long ago but just didn't get the time to sit down and type a few words, but here it is.

So it's that time of the year again, everyone is looking forward to the festivities and where to go to for the holidays. I can do with a holiday right about now, that's just how exhausted I feel. We found this lovely spot while driving around looking for a beautiful place to take pictures and said this is it. This place looks and feel so like you on a holiday somewhere...  with beautiful greenery, blue skies, the lake with cute little ducks and the scorching hotness just played along with the December weather.

About the look:
This dress I bought a while ago and didn't really wear much, so I diy'ed it and made it into the trending kind of slit dress and tops everyone has been wearing. Neutrals mixed with more neutrals thats always a winner right? I added tan elements like the belt, fringe bag and wore tan heels with this outfit but a pair of  gladiators would be perfect as well.

Outfit details :
Fashion Express Dress/ Foschini Jeans,Bangles, Earings & Sunglasses /Legit Tan Heels /Jay-Jays Fringe Bag and Scarf /The Ramp Necklace /Guess Watch

Thank you for visiting/ reading my blog and Happy Holidays ♡

Recipe: Stuffed Peppers

shiny-sequins.blogspot.com

Hey beautiful people, today I'm going to share a quick and easy stuffed pepper recipe. Being Muslim and having to eat Halaal food has made me a DIY Foodie. Well I stay in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town and here's not much Halaal places besides the usual Mc Donalds, KFC etc. So when I crave something I make it, if I don't have the recipe I Google it, add what ever I want and Whalla...

Ingredients :
4 Bell Peppers
1 to 2 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
1 to 2 cups grated Cheese ,can use more
Cream Cheese as preferred
Coarse Black Pepper
Pinch Salt

Directions:
Cut Peppers in half lengthwise, remove seeds and rinse clean. Boil peppers for 5 minutes. Drain and rinse in cold water, set aside.
In a bowl mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese ,Worcestershire sauce salt and pepper together and spoon in the peppers.
I added mince and some cheese on top. Anything can be added from chicken to broccoli, sausage, mince ,peppers can be fried as well.
Bake for 400°  for 5-10 minutes or until cheese is melted, I left mine a little longer because both me and hubby love it so.
I served it with roast veg and fillet chicken with a spicy barbeque sauce, you can add wedges or what ever you feel.

There's obviously different and more fancier ways to make it,but this is quick & easy for the working mom that wants to make something quick for supper. :)

Enjoy

DIY: Baby Photo Shoot

Hi there !
We all love taking pictures right! But I'm sure everyone went through a time where they took like more than twenty pictures of the same pose but only used one picture ,because you maybe felt only that one picture looked right. One of the reasons why I take my hat off to photographers, It may seem easy to just pick up a camera and take pictures, but its not, you must know what you doing.Well I'm no photographer I just love taking pictures, but have you ever thought of a job of a photographer and how difficult it must be for them at times but yet they must still deliver quality work.

So a while ago my friend Lesley and I did a DIY Photoshoot with baby Shazia (my daughter), she got her camera ready and I got the outfits and décor ready because that's what I do best. I was so excited because I thought it would be fun, it actually was no joke at all. It was tiring, we had to entertain baba, she's normally a very happy baby but that afternoon she wasn't, it was a very hot day and it was during her nap time and to top it off she had a cold,  so she was very grumpy and not in the mood. Shazia is not like other baby's ,she's super busy and can't sit still, so yes it wasn't easy.  Lesley set up a place in her room but that didn't work out too well, I realised she loves the outdoors so outside we went and it was lovely, light ,and a naturally beautiful atmosphere outside ,and guess what? ....Shazia loved it , she began to smile and be herself and went on posing on her own. hehe.

So a lesson learned while taking baby pictures, a lot of patience required, not during their supposed to be nap time and outdoors is probably the best, well every baby differs but you know what your little one loves so work from there  :)

So here's a few pictures of the Photo Shoot....Tell me what you think.
