Mommy and mini entitled Clean Page

Hi all you beautiful people,

This is my first blogpost for the year and I don't know if it's ok to still say Happy New Year, I mean we in the second week of January already but some people say you can still say so till the end January :) So Happy New Year, Hehehe.

Most of you probably returning back to work today(I guess you dreaded this day), I'm back at work since last week Wednesday and was envying you guys that was still on holiday enjoying yourself on the beach somewhere while I was trying to find my feet here. Last week was really difficult I couldn't concentrate. I felt I really needed to get back into the swing of things, but this is a new week and I'm so ready for it.

Guys I'm excited for this new year, I haven't jotted down any new years resolutions like other times because its all in my mind. I know exactly what I want to achieve this year, be it short term or long term and it will stay in my mind till I achieve it #goals, hehehe spirit hey. I wish you all well for this new year with what ever it is you want to do, live more healthier, study, try something new or just be more awesome at what ever you are doing right now. We all got another chance to start on a clean page, we got another chance to see a new year and each day we get a change to open our eyes to see a new day, Alhamdulilaah (praise be to Allah) so make the best of it.

This photoshoot was done by Capturing Concepts Photography. It was a scorching hot day in the mother city when we did the photoshoot and you know how kids can get in the heat if they not in water. I tried to make it fun and playful for Shazia, check me running and making funny moves to make her laugh.

For a parent the holidays can be very tiring, if not for you but for me. A three year old can be very demanding and nags alot if you don't keep them entertained. And that was what I did or rather tried to do this holiday. As a parent you try your best to make your kid/kids happy but don't always know if you succeeding but yet still try right.
Myself and Shazia had some great bonding time this holiday as Daddy was working, pssst she's a Daddy's girl. I really needed loads of patience, she made me mad all the time because she doesn't listen and catch on her own things, I know they say it's #exploring right. I needed to talk alot, felt like I was constantly on repeat. Nonetheless I felt we had a great time even though so short, we made some good memories and became the best of friends :)

About the look
This look is all about me and my mini-me Shazia. Most of the time we wear matchy clothes or colours but have never really done a photoshoot or blogpost about it, I just always share pictres on my socialmedia. I created this cute look for her starting from the lacercut t-shirt, then added the matching shorts and choker, the shoes and hat came afterwards. I then created my look to match with hers, not quite so cute but I tried to match, obviosly going for a longer pants and covering my arms for a more modest look. Our lace henna tattoos are from Skh_sa , I had a lot of ladies asking me where it's from so there's a link to her Instagram page.

Lookpost: Neutrals

Hey beauties, Happy Monday!

Hope you had a good weekend, it's just always so short hey? It feels like forever since I last blogged but its just been a month, this lookpost I wanted to do so long ago but just didn't get the time to sit down and type a few words, but here it is.

So it's that time of the year again, everyone is looking forward to the festivities and where to go to for the holidays. I can do with a holiday right about now, that's just how exhausted I feel. We found this lovely spot while driving around looking for a beautiful place to take pictures and said this is it. This place looks and feel so like you on a holiday somewhere...  with beautiful greenery, blue skies, the lake with cute little ducks and the scorching hotness just played along with the December weather.

About the look:
This dress I bought a while ago and didn't really wear much, so I diy'ed it and made it into the trending kind of slit dress and tops everyone has been wearing. Neutrals mixed with more neutrals thats always a winner right? I added tan elements like the belt, fringe bag and wore tan heels with this outfit but a pair of  gladiators would be perfect as well.

Outfit details :
Fashion Express Dress/ Foschini Jeans,Bangles, Earings & Sunglasses /Legit Tan Heels /Jay-Jays Fringe Bag and Scarf /The Ramp Necklace /Guess Watch

Thank you for visiting/ reading my blog and Happy Holidays ♡

Lookpost: Black on White

Peace and Blessings Beauties and Happy Sunday

Trying to figure out this unpredictable Cape Town weather is just crazy. It makes a person so confuse about what to wear. Sometimes when you look out the window it looks like its going to rain, when you already out and then it starts getting hot or vice versa. That's exactly what happened on this particular Saturday, when I peeped out it looked so overcast the morning and later started to get hot, then after five it started drizzling, but that's the Mother City what else did we expect.

Even while sitting and typing out this blog post I felt a slight chilled breeze still in the air, I mean its like November month already but the cardis and leathers are still being worn, where usually this time of the year it's already boiling hot hey.

About the look
I remember the morning while putting this outfit together before I added the black elements to it ,it looked like something was still missing. I liked the minimalistic look but felt the outfit still lacked something to jazz it up. Till I added some of the basic 'must haves' like the fringe bag, cateye sunglasses, mules and kimono ,all in black offcourse. Not only did it bring the outfit to life but the contrast effect made it stand out more.
Since I can remember black and white has always matched perfectly together in a professional and casual kind of way. Like who doesn't love Monocrome!

Outfit details :

Feeling Blue

So I've been feeling just like the post title is saying "blue". Sometimes everything just catch up with a person without you even knowing. My daughter has been sick a lot and in hospital recently, I had to write an exam in that time ( last year after my maternity leave clever me went back to studying). So picture being mom, wife, working and part time studies haha, I can just laugh at myself, its no joke. So I obviously choose my daughter, I would do it over and over again ,I just thought the hell with the exam, I can do that again but my daughter I won't get back if something should happen to her.
So I guess all the stress, worry, little sleep and poor eating habits just caught up with me and made me sick, I haven't been eating well, it's like I just eat more than usual under stressful situations,I don't care what I eat and I haven't been exercising at all for a while now, so I picked up a few kilos :( Then to top it off I got so sick last week I couldn't get out of bed my body was so sore, I took so much meds just to feel better , I think my body just couldn’t fight anymore.
I felt so negative and sad and thought to myself I don't want my daughter picking up those negative energy, I need to pull myself together and make peace with the fact that I couldn't write all my exams and in return more time wasted, it already takes forever to study part time, but the most important thing is my daughter is fine and I spent my time with her when she needed me the most and that's all that counts. The thing is as people we tend to concentrate so on worldly things(dunya) and being successful in this life that we sometimes forget what's most important in life, I'm at a point in my life where I just feel to be mom to my daughter and that's it.This week has been much better, I'm feeling my mad old self again,  I'm grateful for everything, Alhamdulilaah and Happy Weekend to you beauties ♡
