Lookpost: Purely Shaded

Hi Beauties,
It's been a while I know, I'm not even gonna go into detail about where and what I've been up to that's keeping me away from blogging because overall life's busy for everyone right?
I promise not to be long because it's that time of the year when work needs to get done and don't even talk about that end of year hustle and bustle. I think the pictures that Quanita from Quanita E Photography took goes perfectly with that hustle and bustle saying hey?
So jumping straight to the point, I've had the opportunity to do a collab with Roeshqua from the brand Purely Shaded .
On the pictures you'll see two looks using the same top but different skirts. I've styled it in a formal and semi formal way but these looks can really be worn formal or casual there's no right or wrong, I can easily see it being styled differently with sandals or sneakers for a more casual look. I'm mostly a formal person and that's why I styled it that way but if you would like me to show casual looks as well give me a shout.
Lastly, I really like the cut of the top, covering the arms and also the chest area and the fact that it's longer at the back is a plus!

Lookpost: Tassles and turbans

Happy Monday Lovelies :)
Hope you're all doing awesome.

Hang in there it's almost holiday time, right now its crunch time for me trying to get all my work done before we close for December.

Ok enough about work, do you follow fashion trends? From a young age I always loved following fashion trends but it was much easier then because I could just wear whatever I wanted. As I got older and started dressing more modestly it got more difficult to just wear anything and follow trends, or so I thought. Because I love fashion I figured that modest dressers don't have to step back, we can still be trendy and fashionable even while covering up right?

If you for example think about trends like off the shoulder tops and slit dresses and thought it's a no-no think again, see what I did with this off shoulder frill top, even though I'm wearing something underneath it still gives that off shoulder effect while still covered, also with a slit dress here (one of my previous posts). Just play around with what you have, you can even wear a button up shirt underneath that's light fabric for summer days.

This look actually all started with the top and I worked from there and added every other detail. I wore a loose pants, matching it with my under top, bag, and scarf. I blended and mixed the colours to match because I love matching. The sunglasses was the last addition to the outfit, saw it at The Fix tried it on and thought it would go nice with this look to add some chic and some of that je ne sais quoi that's missing ! Hehehe those that watched 7de Laan will know that's Paula's favourite fashion word.

I'm wearing:
Scarf + Bracelets YDE/ Sunglasses + Pants Legit/ Earings Lovisa/ Watch Forever New / Frill top MRP/ Foschini Wedges / Aldo Bag

I love how this look and the background blend in so well, and the pictures by the tree gives that welcoming summer feel, good choice by the photographer.
These pictures were taken by Capturing Concepts Photography, husband and wife working together and making a mean time :) Firstly I think they make a beautiful couple, I could see in the first few minutes after I met them how caring they are towards each other asking if he/she can manage carrying the equipment. I loved the input, ideas and working with them. You can find them on Instagram or Facebook, they actually running a very great December special go check it out.

Hope you enjoyed the post and be back for more :)
Remember to always keep Shinning.

Sleeveless Trenchcoat

Since the first time I saw it a while ago, I wanted it, the the sleeveless trenchcoat is so chic and trending. For a modest dresser this is everything, the reason why I personally love it so much is because it covers the most parts needed to be covered by a modest dresser.  And don't think because it looks formal your restricted ,no not at all, you can wear it with anything believe me, a dress, a ripped jeans, wideleg pants I saw some wearing sneakers with it, so dress up or down, what ever you feel. I will be adding different looks in the future.

Outfit details:
YDE Sleeveless trenchcoat/ Woolworths blacktop/ Foschini black pants/ Edgars White heels/ PnP clothing scarf/ Lovisa necklace/Ziri rings,earings

All Black

It was a beautiful peaceful Sunday afternoon and that regular craving for cake or something sweet arises. I don't know if it's just me but I always crave cake especially on a Sunday, like it's a must to have it. So the afternoon we took a drive and ended up at a gorgeous little coffee shop/restaurant the Berry Orchid, nestled in between the greenery and surrounded by the mountains of beautiful Stellenbosch area. It’s the perfect spot for some afternoon tea or coffee and delicious treats with family and friends.
I obviously choose a cappuccino to drink with a delicious sweet berry tartlet served with cream while enjoying the spectacular view.

About the outfit:
I'm wearing all black with silver accessories. The side point top I loved immediately when I saw it at Yde's sale recently, I paired it with a black skinny, comfortable heels and some fringe off course.
What I'm wearing : Yde Sunglasses, Top and Earings / Zuri Cuff /Woolworths Skinny Jeans/ Legit Fringe Bag / Heels gifted / Fossil Watch / PNP Clothing Scarf

Fringe

Hey beauties, Happy New Year!
This is my first blog post for 2016, everyone's feeling excited about the new year, new opportunities and surprises what it has to bring. I can't believe it's back to work for me today, so no more free spirit and doing as I please but it's still festive season so I'll just enjoy what's left of it. One of the definitions of Boho is free spirit, that's exactly how I feel when I'm on holiday, no work, no worries, even the loose clothing and different colours and textures gives the feel of free spirit, and not the everyday office colours of black and white.

This time of the year I love to dress boho, its so comfortable, so chic and easy because anything goes. Last year this time I did a Boho inspiration post on how to compile quick boho outfits, you can check it out here if you like.

About the outfit
This is the most cheapest easiest look ever, a Mr Price fringe top paired with a Jet palazzo pants and Whalla! You can wear it with flats, gladiators, wedges. And the best part you don't have to worry about hair,  loose wavy hair, or with a hat or tie it in a turban. Basically any accessories will do, you free to do just what you like.

Rage Wedges / Yde earings, sunglasses & fashtatoos

Saturday we had such a lovely time at the beautiful Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens ,we walked so much, relaxed and admired the beauty, Ma sha Allah. My two year old daughter had so much fun but unfortunately this little rebel don't listen so had a few bruises on her knees and forehead because of all the running and falling. This picture at the bottom is just proof of that, see how she's running on the 'boomslang' tree canopy walkway.

Picking flowers

Pictures where taken with my Sony Experia, my camera broke but I still love the way they came out.
Hope you enjoyed my post and thank you for reading my blog.
