Events: Fashionably Fabulous Brunch

The first Saturday of this month I attended a Fashionably Fabulous Brunch hosted by Rushda from @rubescloset, Aaliah from A Sense of Style and Roshan from Style Africa .How fabulous do they look all dressed in A Sense of Style collection.

Let me tell you a bit about this very stylish event themed Breakfast at Tiffany's, Rushda did a more detailed blogpost which you can read on her blog Rubescloset here , I just felt like sharing with you about the fabulous time I had.



This was not your everyday event, it was a morning surrounded by fabulous people in a very stylish setting and atmosphere, beautiful decor and delicious food. If you don't know me personally, I love being surrounded by beauty and even more by positive inspiring people, so just imagine how much I enjoyed myself.

I think they choose the perfect venue for the event, everything matched perfectly, the light walls with the beautiful table decor even the gift bags blended in. The big windows that allowed a lot of light and fresh air and not forgetting the stunning views.

It really was a morning filled with all things girly, it kicked of with a good dose of motivation to start any given day, a very inspiring talk by Tatyana from Go Beauty  she spoke about how she moved from London and started her business here in South Africa because she really loved this beautiful place and friendly people. She explained how she didn't have a clue what she was doing when she started her business, she just believed and followed her heart, today she runs a successful business growing bigger by the day. Her message was to never give up on following your dreams. I just met her on the day but could immediately see the positive energy she leaves behind. 

She was followed by the beautiful Qaanita from OnQ Makeup who gave us the latest make up trends and tricks, do's and donts while doing a make up demonstration for a light Summer make up look. Qaanita has done her makeup magic on top celebrities, she's so good at it. After her demo everyone circled around her to buy makeup products and ask makeup advice. We then went over to Roshan Isaacs, MD of Style Africa , who is also a health and wellness coach, she gave us some really good and important health tips and home remedies for hair and skin as well as a demonstration on how to make it. Roshan is the one to speak to in helping you with your ideal weight and lifestyle.



Then we had Professional Hair Stylist Nuraan from hairstudio, she gave a quick hair demonstration from how to go from a casual look to a elegant look in just a few minutes.


 We had another break, more eating from the beautiful looking delicious buffet, chatting and meeting fabulous ladies.

There were awesome prizes in between and I really hoped to win something but guess the luck was not on my side that morning. On display to purchase was beautiful pieces from Crystal Paradise and perfume from Yougazi .Khadeeja from Beauty Talk gave mini treatments.

Then lastly we had the fashion show, Aaliah introduced her Resort Holiday Collection. Rushda / Rubescloset did fashion styling showing how the pieces can be worn various ways.
It was difficult to pin point the best pieces from the collection because everything is  just so stunning.




I just loved everything about this nautical look, can be worn to the beach or just a day out. The top can be worn off the shoulder or with no shoulder showing for the more modest dresser. See how Rushda styled the same skirt from a beach look to a more casual sneaker look. Also the the picture below with the tropical print top and pants transformed to a different look with the black off shoulder top.

Did this bright colour catch my eye, the perfect colour for summer, eye-catching, vibrant and happy.

Beautiful easy to style outfits.

How stunning is the light shivon kimono, perfect to wear to a fancy do or to the beach.
